The Hamilton is home

I have posted earlier about how I want to get the Michael Kors famous Hamilton bag READ HERE, but I wasn't sure what colour to get, I was confused between the basic black and the tanned coloured one. and asked you guys what colour should I go for, kindly some of you said the tanned and some said the black, the thing that confused me more, but as I was heading to the Michael Kors shop in the Mall of the Emirates, I decided I am gonna get the black back home with me, as I really needed a black everyday bag. but as I entered the store the confusion stroke back, as I saw so many more  beautiful colours I haven't view online, and  that made me completely excluded the boring black, that always happens with me I go to store to buy a basic black bag and I end up getting two colured ones and no black. I was choosing between the navy blue, the tanned and the burgundy. Thanks to the sweet sales lady, she draw my attention that I was already carrying a satchel bag in tan, so why to get a so ordinary common colour. and that the burgundy really goes with my complexation and is the "it "colour this season. so I went home with the burgundy.

But again the black bag dilemma is back, I need one urgently, any suggestions ?!

And I got a watch too, I'm not gonna show it here, this post is about the Hamilton only

Makeup 101 with Soraya

Soraya Shawky a name that you can hear frequently when it comes to the PR clubbing scene in Cairo, but may be not a lot of people know her as a great makeup artist. Soraya is a completely self-taught makeup artist who started her makeup career with "Photo Boutique", a hip photography studio in Zamalek,( where you can dress up and go wild with the photos),  and from there she unleashed the hidden talent and passion for makeup, she did alot of makeup for fashion shows, ads and magazine shoots. Her work has always grabbed my attention, it's so fun, different and way more professional than traditional and boring makeup we sometimes see.

Next month Soraya is starting her makeup workshop, she is giving classes to teach the basics of makeup (morning, night or both) and how to wear it flawlessly, what you need to know for your personal use, types of brushes, tricks to use on your face, and if you want to learn how to become a makeup artist you have to wait for awhile, as for the "Makeup artistry course " will begin later this year. It will be a professinal makeup course, where you will receive a little book for instructions and guideline that you will be learning during the course.
for reservations and questions contact Soraya via email : soraya.shawky@gmail.com

Interview with the Blogger, fahionista and designer Alanoud Badr

When someone mentions Dubai fashionistas in front of me, a mental image of Alanoud Badr comes straight to my mind, Alanoudr is may be one of the best dressed ladies in the gulf area, she is a big fashion guru, amazing blogger and talented designer, I personally admire her style and how gorgeous and down to earth she is, her line of sophistcated chic blazers was finally out the last year, those perfectly tailored blazers just hit the Middle East by storm, with the bold shoulder pads, glitters, leather, neon colours, animal print or lace they are designed for daring fashionistas.

This one will go directly on my" to buy list", whenever it will be out, Lady Fozaza 2012 new collection

Ah and this one, love love love
And now will leave you with some few question I asked Alanoud about herself and her new clothing line

Tell us a brief about yourself Alanoud.
My father is Saudi, and my mother is half Lebanese half American. I am truly blessed with the opportunities I had growing up. was greatly influenced by my mother's incredible fashion sense and watching the many extravagant parties she used to throw for her guests walking around the house in gorgeous couture gowns, it wasn't long before I started playing with fashion at the age of 5 years old to a never ending story and love affair with fashion.

How did you start with fashion, and tell us more about your style  ?
My style has only recently taken its real shape and form.  for years I've been trying to find myself in so many trends and styles and influences, the key is to let your personality shine through the clothes you have on and not the other way around. I can safely say that I am a rock runway chic. mixing and matching high street with brand babies

What's your favourite Designer of all time ?
Alexander McQueen is my genius! Karl Lagerfield and John Galliano as well as Vivienne Westwood.
What's your latest buy?
My latest buy is some funky red snake skin boots with studs from Zadig & Voltaire a brand that represents my true style in so many ways.

What's your biggest extravagance ?
Louboutin shoes!!! endlessly

Shoes or bags?
SHOES SHOES SHOES

How many pair of shoes do you own ?
More than I could count.

What's your favourite city for shopping, and favourite city for a vacation?
New York, L.A and London for shopping, and Paris for vacation, I love that city!

Tell us about your gorgeous blazers line ?
Each blazer tells a story of true style and passion... each woman who wears it gets to live out her dream, they are little Divas in the making.. to hold your own and be the woman who can stand tall and proud!

Kim Kardashian sporting a Lady Fozaz blazer, that she fell in love with during her latest trip to Dubai
How can we get our hands on them, and will it be available in Cairo?
It is curretly available in Kuwait at  the walk in closet boutique and Blush boutique in Bahrain and they are now available in Bloomingdale Dubai with some new exclusive styles to be shown of course they will be available in Saudi soon as well, and hopefully Cairo.

Hanaa Ben Abdesslem, First Muslim face for Lancôme

For their aim to correct misconceptions about Islam in the fashion world, and about modeling in the Muslim world, Lancome took Hanaa Ben Abdesslem,  The  22 years old Tunisian  runaway model as their first Muslim face, for their new campaign for the idole ultra 24 hrs foundation.

2011 was a pretty good year for Hanna, not only her country has entered a new era of freedom, but her career had a major shift, as she walked down the catwalk for Givenchy, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta and many more heavy fashion designers names.
Hanaa isn't just a  fashion model but she is also a role model, she studied engineering, doesn't smoke or drink alcohol at all, eats carbs, as a Tunisian she can't give u p her love for couscous, beside all that Hanaa sponsors the Esmaani (hear me) a non- profit association for the deaf children in Lebanon.
