A trip to Heaven... St Regis Maldives Review

One day, me and my husband wanted to check something big out of our bucket list. So we decided to pack our bags to the MALDIVES.

As we were checking the beautiful resorts online, we couldn't find something more elegant and luxurious than the St. Regis Vommuli. I always love to stay at the St. Regis Dubai and I definitely assumed the Maldivian one will be of the same standard.
As we are residing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, we took the emirates flight to Dubai, and from Dubai we took another flight for almost fours hours to Male, the capital of Maldives, not to be confused with Mali, the African country. As soon as we checked out from the passport control of the Male airport, we were welcomed by an amazing butler from the St. Regis responsible for the airport and the seaplane part only, we were escorted to an AC van offered cold and room temp. water, and offered a free WIFI access was much need after all this disconnection during the flights. We then drove to the great room, which is the rest lounge of the St. Regis, we were given a chance to refresh ourselves and have a sip of water, and you can also have something to eat, while your seaplane is getting ready. While waiting, we were given an iPad to see an already recorded video specially foe us, by our amazing personal butler Ahmed, who happened to be Egyptian as well, can you imagine how happy and surprised that we found out a personal message in Arabic to us.

We then rode the seaplane, and had a wonderful time, I was a little afraid at the beginning, but turned out to be lots of fun, we had two more couples with us at the plane, we had one stop to drop off some passengers on the way. And when we stopped by our destination, we had a very warm welcome, by the marina. it was quite a welcome reception, all the butlers were there, a beautiful lady from the kids club came to meet with my son Hassan, with a beautiful customized bracelet and the program for kids club.
Ahmed our butler, drove us in a golf car to our private ocean villa, in front of our villa stood three bicycles, one for me, one for my husband and little red one for Hassan, stepping into our ocean villa is like stepping into a dream, a spacious place with a private deck and private pool and a private access to the ocean, it is luxury and modern furnished, and the amenities and facilities inside the villa is amazing. for three days we enjoyed the ocean, the pool and tanning on the deck.

The resort had three restaurants, Alba an international open buffet on for breakfast and dinner,  Crust and craft are for burger and pizzeria by the beach, Oriantale an Asian fusion restaurant and  cargo a Lebanese oriental restaurant, where its decor is inspired by cargo and shipping containers we almost tried them all and were very delicious, our highlight of the trip was the Maldivian fishing trip, the Maldivian has a special way in fishing at night, we got into a boat and we all went fishing was such a beautiful family experience, and we caught some fish, that you handle to the hotel and choose the way you wanted to be cooked, fried, grilled or oven grilled. I must tell you it was the best fish I ever had in my whole entire life, and the fact it was super fresh, and caught by us made it even taste better.

Hassan, my son had a good time playing by the kids club, where they have a different activity everyday, I had an indulgent time at the Iridium spa, and had a swim at the blue whole which is a grand Jacuzzi at the middle of the ocean.
