Artistic Thursdays: Hassan Hassan

As promised, every Thursday, there will be a post dedicated to some of my favourite artists or some of the new and upcoming artists in the Arab World. Today's post is about the young Egyptian artist Hassan Hassan, whose work is a mix of art and fashion together in a very modern twist. I like that his work is somehow influenced by Andy Warhol, as Warhol happened to be one of my favourite urban artists. Watching Hassan's paintings is like watching a colorful Pop song filmed in Chaos Cairo with uptown pretty ladies dancing around.  The paintings are with a lot of details, the thing that can make you stare at them for hours daydreaming about what are those pretty muses in the paintings are up to.
oh and another thing I like about the artist is that he shares the same name as my baby boy, not once but twice.
Enough talking, as I am new to this art critic thing - if this was art critic anyway.- I will let the photos do the talk.

All photos are courtesy of Hassan Hassan, I just borrowed from his Facebook page.

Hassan designed this carpet for Zimmer interiors in Designopolis
Hassan's work can be found in KDS concept store in Zamalek.
