A brilliant idea has just hit the Cairoland, Fashion garage is a new and one of a kind service for all of you pretty Egyptian fashionistas, basically it's like a big online garage sale, where you can sell your old clothes, accessories, furniture and even electronic gadgets, or you can shop haunt for some vintage and second-hand unique pieces, seriously what a brilliant idea, because how many of you ladies have at least ten pieces of  unworn clothing items with their price tag still on. or that gorgeous evening gown that you worn to your sister and can't wear again. I personally will be using this website to sell some unworn shoes and dresses I own, but never actually made it outside my closet.
Yesterday I approached Heba Serag El Din, the owner and asked her some questions about the Fashion Garage and how and why she started it.

What's the idea behind the Fashion Garage? and what made you start it ?
Heba: I realized that I've been arranging my closet into two categories (dresses that wore and will never wear) and so a stroke of light inspired me to get rid off all that stuff in a productive way and turning it into a business. Props to my mother for helping me conceptualize the idea.

So if people want to sell some of their old clothes through fashion garage, what step they have to do ?
Heba : Basically they register on Fashion Garage in order to provide us with all their information and then send us an email with high resolution pictures of the items they want to be sold, followed by their description and the price they are asking for and before they know it, the items are sold. We have a SELLING or BUYING link on the website so dont worry it wont be hard to find

How can you guarantee the quality of the second hand items ?
Heba: Fashion Garage is not just a second hand online store, we sell pre-owned goods and old collections from high fashion international and local brands/designers. But to answer your question the items are approved by my the fashion garage team before they even make it on the website. And we have an antique specialist for the antique department.

Will you be offering a door to door service or how it gonna work ?
Heba: Yes, its a collect upon delivery service and international express mail services for orders outside Cairo and Egypt.
