Hands of Silk

so finally the Winter is here which means cold breeze, rain, big coats, boats and DRY HANDS. although I am not that kind of person who would have dry hands in winter but working in a Laboratory ( I am a pharmacist) and having to wash my hands several times a day using strong detergents , made my hands get a little bit dry especially in those cold months of the year. So I did my research and as product junkie as I am, I tried so many products and here are the one I loved the most

                                               Kiehl's Hand cream
Kiehl's is the best hand cream ever invented, it makes hands soft and smooth in no time and for long time, but unfournetly it comes with a very expensive price tag, and it's not available in the middle east except in Harvey Nicolas in the Mall of Emirates, Dubai.

L'occitane shea butter hand cream (limited edition)

The L'occitane hand cream  (pronounced: Loxetane, in case you are wondering) is a good/cheaper substitute for Kiehl's , I like the packaging of the new limited edition one, so chic.
and the good news for Cairo's ladies, is that this french body products brand is coming to Egypt, opening soon in Mall of Arabia .
                                          Soap and Glory's Hand Food
                                                          Lush's Helping Hands

those two products are my favourites ones, and to be honest I kinda prefer the Hand Food it's has the cutest packaging  ever and the best smell ever, it smells like Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle perfume, plus it's not greasy at all and it's affordable, the Lush one is great too, but the packaging is not so hand to put in my hand bag and it doesn't smell so good as the Hand food does.

You can find Soap & glory products in all Boots pharmacies, and Lush has branches in KSA and in Dubai, hopefully it will open soon in Egypt "keep your finger crossed".

and not to forget the great Vaseline, it's very cheap available in almost all big pharmacies and supermarkets, it has good smell but I prefer the intensive care more than the regular one, as the regular one can be somehow greasy, it can take  like 20 minutes to dry.

if you have very dry hands you can try this put  pure Vaseline (from the yellow short jar), and wear gloves and go to sleep, in the morning you can really see a difference.

and this  also a good cheap homemade treatment that you can do with few ingerdients from your kitchen,
in a big bowl mix some oatmeal with warm milk and add a mashed banana, and soak your hands in it for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and put any hand cream, repeat twice weekly.

so everyone tell me what is your favourite hand creams ?
